Maya Nova is the founder of Mindbalance, provider of mindfulness and meditation training for improved productivity, resilience and wellbeing. She is committed to helping people bring mindfulness and wellbeing into everyday life and work.
Maya has been practicing meditation for over a decade in various traditions and has spent two years ordained as a Buddhist nun. Currently she is inspired and guided by the Forest Sangha, and the teachings of Ajahn Cha and Thich Nath Hanh, using learning from nature and mindfulness in all aspects of daily life as the basis of practice. Learning how to give the present moment our full attention can have a profoundly liberating effect on the mind. Being in relationship with nature: nature of our own bodies and minds and the greater context of nature we are part of, we can find our way back to wholeness in how we live our lives and relate to ourselves, each other and our environment.
Maya teaches regular classes, offers workshops, retreats and individual guidance. Meditations are instructed by Maya with clarity, simplicity and humour, in a way that is acceptable to wide range of people.
